Ian is an enthusiastic Chartered Environmental Manager with the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. He combines strategic management ability with strong technical and digital skills and is equally comfortable building a strategic vision or drilling into the detail, with particular expertise in modelling, forecasting, metrics and audit/improvement.
Ian has experience in infrastructure, engineering, and agri-food sectors, and in life-cycle cost assessments, carbon modelling, value-chain management, business sustainability, and productivity improvement. He has an MSc in Environmental Management from the University of Nottingham and a BA in Land Economy from the University of Cambridge. Ian has previously worked for WWF and the UK Environment Agency, and is also a member of the CIWEM Climate Change Specialist Panel.
Marc has a passion for practical and impactful climate change solutions and is the founder of the award-winning company, Environmental and Social Impact Monitor Ltd (ESI Monitor).
Marc developed ESI Monitor to tackle one of climate change’s largest drivers: organisations. The company does this by empowering businesses of any sector or size to sustainably reduce their greenhouse gas emissions through a scientific process of measurement, management, minimisation, and benchmarking.
After three years of hard work, Marc and his team now work with over 120 businesses in 14 countries, helping them to sustainably and continually improve both their environmental and social impact. Marc continues to work relentlessly to expand ESI Monitor’s reach and therefore its positive impact on the planet.
Prior to founding ESI Monitor, Marc had a successful career in both business and politics in the Channel Islands. Currently, he is also a non-executive director of a financial services business, and a director of an international mental health service provider.
Fred is a sustainability specialist who graduated in the first cohort of Global Sustainable Development from the University of Warwick. As a qualified Carbon Footprint Analyst, alongside specialisms in Sociology and Global Sustainable Development, Fred approaches sustainability in a holistic and complex way.
Fred has guided countless organisations throughout their sustainability journeys and has produced countless more carbon footprint reports. He has been instrumental in the development of FutureTrack’s approach to organisational change and sustainability and has an acute understanding of the sustainability landscape and its solutions.
Michaela has a scientific background, working for many years on the assimilation of data from both academic journals and governmental and commercial sources, specialising in data analysis and research. She has produced reports on SIDS, governmental and commercial benchmarking, and best practice.
Michaela has attended conferences and meetings both with governmental and industry representatives and has presented at such on sustainability across a number of topics including energy, infrastructure, and environment. She has also worked in aquaculture, collaborating with colleagues at UK institutes and universities, developing an appreciation of the challenges and opportunities facing sustainable seafood sourcing, and the impacts of this on biodiversity and biosecurity.
Sylvie is qualified to conduct internationally accepted carbon footprint assessments in line with the GHG Protocol. Through these assessments, Sylvie can provide businesses with detailed insights into their environmental impact, while also helping them to track their emissions and set targets for reduction.
Sylvie’s skills in digital design and knowledge of environmental issues also allow her to encourage sustainability in the community through creative social media content and digital art. Due to this, Sylvie is able to advise organisations regarding the use of creative materials to inspire workplace sustainability among staff and to promote the organisation’s sustainable actions to a wider audience.
Nathan McOwen is FutureTrack's Digital Lead, meaning he develops new and innovative applications to make sustainability management even more accessible to our clients.
Prior to joining us, he studied Computer Science and then ran his own green web hosting business for many years, while being an Ecologi Ambassador. As well as being a brilliant coder and computing expert, he is also a committed environmentalist and is constantly looking for new ways to manage and mitigate his own footprint.
As Chief Technology Officer, Mohit helps to shape, develop, and implement the digital and technical strategy to meet ESI Monitor's goals, including pinpointing which technologies can yield the most benefit to the company, its customers, and the wider world.
He has been in the technology industry for around 17 years, starting as a D-Ops Specialist working in the E-commerce sector. Mohit has also worked in sectors including Diversity & Inclusion, HR, Banking, Education, and A.I, successfully delivering end-to-end projects.
Marta holds an MA in Principles of Conservation from UCL. During her studies, she worked on several research projects exploring the fields of social sustainability, bottom-up approaches to policymaking, sustainable development, and heritage.
After graduating, Marta gained professional experience in the renewable energy, education, and business sectors and cooperated with one of the largest coalitions of European youth-led climate and environmental networks. In her role as a Sustainability Analyst, she combines her professional background with her passion for social and environmental sustainability by contributing to the development of ESI Monitor’s scope of services and expertise.
